Great tackle by Lewis Talbot sees Hull knock the ball on, scrum to the Greens. Greens win the scrum only to be turned over and Hull clear their lines.

The Greens win the ensuing line out, a kick through by Will Robinson and Hull clear the ball off the pitch for a Greens line out, the Greens win the lineout and Hull infringe the referee puts his arm out for an infringement, the Greens seemingly playing with an advantage lose the ball in the Hull 22, this quickly picked up by the Hull 14 Jamie Shaul who goes the full length and scores under the posts, this a strange decision as the Greens were waiting for the referee to go back for the infringement, This converted Reece Dean.

From the restart the Greens win the ball and a good exit sees the ball up to halfway, further play in the midfield sees Hull concede a line out from the line out the ball goes to Ethan Taylor carrying the ball, holding the defence sufficiently to create a gap for Lawrence Pearce to run through, from 30 metres out he shakes off three flailing defenders to score under the posts, converted by Will Darke.

Scunthorpe 41 Hull 18.

WOMEN’S TEAM

SCUNTHORPE 56 – HULL IONIANS – 12

Scunthorpe Women were at home this week against local rivals Hull Ionians. After playing them earlier in the season we knew how to use our systems and manipulate the pitch to our advantage against them.
From the kick off we put pressure on them and never let off.
The attacking phases was constant and Hull couldn’t handle the game plan we executed.
The forward set a stable platform at scum and line-out time which allowed flowing rugby in the backs to finish off the plays with style.
We have been building well at training and carried through the processes into the game and executed a great brand of rugby.
Final score was 56-12 to Scunthorpe 🙌🏻
Well done to the players of the match 👏🏻👏🏻

NLD CUP SEMI FINAL

LINCOLN 5 – SCUNTHORPE 58

A Huge Statement on the Road to the Final.

Lincoln came into this semi-final confident — and why wouldn’t they? They’d beaten us previously and arrived expecting to repeat the job.
But today… today was different.

Our lads delivered a complete performance: physical dominance, tactical control, relentless intensity, and attacking brilliance. From minute one to the final whistle, they dismantled Lincoln 58–5 and booked their place in the NLD Cup Final in emphatic fashion.

This wasn’t just a win. This was payback with interest.

Top Performances

Archie T – Relentless Brilliance
Archie was everywhere — smashing tackles, powering through contact, and finishing clinically. A complete two-way performance; relentless in defence, electric in attack.

Morgan F – An Absolute Barnstormer
Morgan tore into Lincoln from the off. Big carries, big moments, big leadership. Every time he touched the ball something happened, and his impact was felt across the whole pitch.

Rhys – Led by Example
Rhys set the tone all game: physical, loud, smart, and dangerous. He tormented the Lincoln back line with his running, decision-making, and defensive pressure.

Smiler – Controlled the Pack Tirelessly
Smiler was the engine room. He marshalled the forwards, controlled the tempo, and kept the team composed. His work rate and leadership gave the whole side a solid platform.

Joseph S – Worked Himself to the Bone
Joseph ran himself ragged — chasing everything, making tackles, supporting runners, and doing all the unseen graft that wins big games. A superb shift.

Team Effort of the Highest Quality
While the standout performances were many, every single player contributed to this result. The physicality, the skill level, the commitment, and the belief were exceptional across the entire squad.
This was one of those days where everything clicked — and the lads earned every bit of this victory.
A hugely pleasing result.
Well done, lads.

Eyes on Newark – The Final Awaits
The job isn’t done yet, but with performances like today, the team can head into the final with confidence and momentum.

Remember the motto: “Vision & Belief”

Let’s take that into the final and finish the job.
