The Greens hosted league leaders Harrogate. Harrogate started the game on the attack but the Greens soon put Harrogate under pressure, and after persistent infringements culminating in a Harrogate player receiving a yellow card. During this period, the Greens charged down a clearance kick giving them an attacking scrum. Scunthorpe ran the ball and a well planned move saw Will Robinson go over for a try converted by Ben Hyde.

Harrogate came back and responded with 2 penalties, and took the lead on the stroke of half-time when forward pressure saw Harrogate drive over for a converted try. Scunthorpe 7 Harrogate 13 HT

Constant Harrogate pressure in the second half, saw both Williams and Beresford receive yellow cards for the Greens, during this spell Harrogate extended their lead through another penalty.

It became then relentless pressure from Harrogate which saw them score a second try after a break in midfield and the Harrogate forwards did the rest.

The Greens then responded when they thought they had scored from a cross-kick to the right-hand corner. However, the referee considered it to be a double movement meaning no try.

Harrogate continued to press and got their reward when from a Greens goal-line drop-out, Harrogate attacked and a nice sleight of hand saw them score again with an inside pass culminating in a converted try.

From the restart the Greens pressed into the Harrogate half but lost the ball for Harrogate to break away from their 22 for a move that ended just short of the line. Harrogate secured the bonus point try in the final minute of the game when the ball was moved to the  left and Harrogate scored another converted try.
